 High Voltage Testing Laboratory (HVTL), an affiliate of Burmeister Electric Company, prides itself in providing our customers with the highest quality testing and product replacement services within the commercial and electric utility industries. We recently completed development and expansion of our new Fargo, ND testing laboratory/warehouse and are confident that our new facility will enable us to further improve our service levels.
High Voltage Testing Laboratory operates from two
locations - Minneapolis, MN (Corporate Office) and Fargo, ND (Testing Laboratory).
We are one of the
largest regional stocking distributors and independent testing laboratories in the country.
HVTL is fully accredited by
the North American Independent Laboratories for Protective Equipment Testing
(NAIL). The accreditation provides the customer quality and process assurance
when handling and testing rubber protective equipment. All work procedures are
documented as well as general operation - safe and organized facility, proper
and recognized equipment, training and knowledgeable staff, quality control
policies, adequacy of management, and financial responsibility. All criteria
used to assess NAIL laboratories are based upon accepted standards developed by
ASTM, ANSI, and other applicable organizations. HVTL is capable of testing
from 500 volts through 100,000 volts. We offer either AC or DC testing. |

All equipment is cleaned and visually inspected "both
inside and out" upon arrival. Physical defects are documented and may
include abrasions, cuts, tears, punctures, and ozone damage. Products that
pass visual inspection proceed to dielectric testing. Equipment passing
dielectric and visual tests are stamped with test date, voltage, and HVTL
identifying logo. All products that fail are clearly marked, defaced, and
returned to the customer with corresponding failure information. Returned
products are packaged and powdered according to customer requests.

PRODUCT REPLACEMENTS
High Voltage Testing Laboratory is one of the largest stocking
distributors for White Rubber, Salisbury, and Kunz. Upon approval, automatic
replacement is available for gloves, sleeves, line hose, blankets, leather
protectors, glove/sleeve bags, and shipping containers.
HOT STICK & TOOL REPAIR
Reconditioning and repair is available for fiberglass hot
sticks and tools. HVTL is also accredited for hot stick testing and
recertification.
PICK-UP & DELIVERY
For customers that are interested, HVTL will manage and
organize "call tags" for pick-up and delivery of tested goods - truck, UPS,
SPEEDEE, etc. Short cycle and "off-hour" arrangements are available, contact
HVTL Customer Service for more information.
PAYMENT
Visa and MasterCard are accepted. Purchase orders are also accepted for
pre-approved accounts.
